Designing the Widgets
Adobe Inventor is a computer program that allows you to virtually design 3D objects. It is used - along with a similar program called Maya - to design parts for manufacturing and architecture, among other things, and is a very good program to use if the end goal is to 3D print. For this project, we used it to design six small widgets, one of which we will 3D print. We started by copying sketches into our designer notebook of two possible widgets we wanted to print. I chose to copy down the second and fifth widgets.
After we copied two sketches, we chose which one we wanted to document and print. I chose the fifth widget.
